The wild heaths of Meuzac and La Porcherie have a certain mysterious charm with many different colours that stand out from the green of the pastures and forests. Places where streams curve their way through the meadows.

Les Landes du Cluzeau :

A trail of discovery open to all...

The trail starts near Cluzeau. The route is about 3km (2 miles) long and will take about 2 hours at walking speed. Walking shoes are recommended

        The serpentine rocks are a type of blackish stone that give the landscape a strange look. Walking on the heaths givs the impression of walking on the moon, a sort of stony steppe. They are characterized by a perticular type of vegetation and by many different varities of wildlife. 

The trail has been designed so as to see all the different aspects of the moors.

The 'Landes serpentines du Cluzeau' is featured in the NATURA 2000 networking programme.

The commune of GLanges is crossed by the 2 Briances which you can follow either on foot or by bike.
